Mount Tibrogargan Summit Route Full Return Climb (First Person View)
It was a hot summer day, a perfect day to finally get out of the house to fetch some Vitamin D for those wiggly toes! Surprisingly, the climb itself was not that bad, the billboard at the base of the mountain was actually less reassuring. What did the billboard say you ask?
Allow 3-4 hours return
Not recommended for young children
Steep, strenuous climb with sheer rock faces
Rocks can be slippery and rockfalls can happen at any time
Don't throw stones
Wear a helmet
Use the summit route only, side tracks can end in tragedy
Recognise your limits and avoid tragedy (nope, I ain't paraphrasing)
I found the ascent more difficult than the descent since some of the holds were not very obvious. The return climb took us a little more than 2 hours. The summit was surrounded by a bunch of trees, so the best viewing spot was actually at just below the summit. You should probably only attempt this with a friend! Enjoy :)
