For jazz/vocals vinyl use only MM cartridges. Moving magnet cartridges tend to produce lush, mellow sound.
MC cartridges usually could sound a bit forward or aggressive in a system that is not neutral to begin with and is already too bright or transparent. Have a digital sound not analog.
