I've been working on mixing lately, using these drums I recorded with Matt Ingram at his workshop back in March. Matt set up loads of different mic options to play with, so here's a few versions of the same performance. No reverb or samples were used, just compression and EQ.

0:00 - 12 Mics - Full mix with close mics, spaced overheads and stereo rooms
0:26 - 10 Mics - Drier mix without the rooms
0:52 - 4 Mics - Glyn Johns-style overheads with kick and snare close mics
1:19 - 2 Mics - Mono overhead & kick out
1:46 - 1 Mic - Mono overhead
