Here is a small realistic tiger animation test that I did in Maya, using the great free Tiger rig from CG Spectrum.
This animation was a fun experiment to learn about how Maya can be used to create realistic 3D quadruped/creature animations using and combining various features and techniques.
How I did it:
I made an in-place walk cycle using video reference first and made it to a progressive walk cycle.
Then using the motion path tool in Maya, made a path so that the walk feels more organic and natural.
The background is an image projection. Hope you enjoy it!
