IntelliStar 1 SD Simulation - Norfolk, VA - 7/30/2023

Weather forecast simulations have returned to the channel, and this time we got an entirely new system being simulated: the IntelliStar 1! As I grew up watching this version of Local on the 8's the most, I've been looking for the longest time to see how I could simulate it, and I'm very excited to finally be able to do so with some manual magic thanks to an Adobe After Effects template! It isn't perfect (i.e. I kinda had to improvise for the CC/Radar maps) but I'm really happy with the results and how closely it resembles the real deal.
This simulation takes a look at the city of Norfolk, Virginia on yet another summer day. Sunny skies...thunderstorms...the usual weather you'd expect at a time like this. I hope you enjoy this trip back to the late 2000's!
