As mobile network operators move their network applications to software-based workloads, implementing practices to promote continuous integration and deployment becomes more and more possible. That said, there are several RF activities that will remain physical, especially those that take place in RF lab testing.
In a short interview published at the recent Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (MWC2023), David Woodcock, Head of Product Strategy, spoke briefly about the challenges of applying software-based CI/CD methodologies to the physical parts of RAN testing.
