what happened after titanic struck the iceberg
nobody knows for sure how titanic went down after the iceberg... she was breached in 5 compartments....she could float with 4 breached, but not 5. the great ship was doomed... the bulkheads should not of been lowered, ismay lowered them, had he left them higher it would of flooded slower and perhaps the Carpathia could of arrived while the Titanic was sinking...idk
, so many what ifs, if it had struck the Berg head on they think that it wouldn't of sank, the collision bulkhead would of took the impact and she most likely would of stayed afloat.
last time a ship struck an iceberg at that time was in 1879 the SS Arizona and she survived.
i think that if they kept at there speed and just pulled it hard to starboard she prob would of missed it or perhaps scraped the hull but not enuf to sink it. ismay was willing to spend money on titanic, lots of it, but he didn't see the need for more boats, Alexander Carlisle thought there out to be 48 but ismays greed to not have people "paying money to look at life boats" also doomed over 1500 ppl
