2023 TACOMA OIL CHANGE
For the first time, I changed the engine oil and oil filter on this 2023 Toyota Tacoma. The filter housing assembly was tight....very tight! The oil, Mobil 1 0W-20, 6.2 Quarts and a Toyota Oil Filter element. Used a 12mm socket, 14mm socket and the filter housing wrench. Also, a 3/8 Ratchet with an extension and a 3/8 Torque wrench. One has to be very careful when removing the oil filter housing because, keep in mind that it is made of plastic. The next time that I do this, I might have a replacement oil housing cannister available.... just in case.
This is how I did the oil change and the challenges that it brought with it. If you decide to change the oil on your own vehicle, you will be doing it at your own risk. Inform yourself, research as much as possible before you do it yourself, to prevent issues that might surface during the procedure.
