Situated amidst the lush landscapes of Surrey, Kent has forged collaborations with numerous international artists, attracting clients who dispatch equipment for repair from locations stretching across California to Canada, Oslo to Australia. The clientele spans a diverse range, encompassing ardent enthusiasts and collectors, mirroring Kent's own passion for gear, to seasoned professional producers and composers, reflecting Kent's expertise showcased in his SoundCloud library, KSR80. Additionally, there is a niche of gigging musicians who rely on these vintage workhorses for performances.
Kent's journey commenced in the early eighties when, as a young lad, he embarked on a career restoring high-end cars, obtaining relevant qualifications at college. However, his fervor for the emerging electronic music scene prompted a shift in focus. Serving as a session musician, he contributed to several records, fostering connections with London's musical emporiums and stepping into the role of a technician. In the late 90s, seizing an opportunity with his friend Richard from RL Music, Kent launched KSR, a business providing restoration and support services. In a notable side venture, in 2011, Kent and Richard co-founded Touch Digital Controllers Ltd, an entity dedicated to developing and selling a controller for GForce's impOSCar 2 virtual instrument. Kent remains devoted to crafting the ultimate synth, aspiring for it to stand as his enduring legacy.
