Mercado Central, Valencia, Spain, Europe's largest indoor market
The Mercado Central of Valencia (in English: Central Market) covers more than 8,000 square metres. The building was opened in 1928 and is a display of Valencia's modernist architecture. Its exterior could well be that of an Art Nouveau cathedral. The spectacular character of the market building is undisputed, and makes it one of the most visited attractions in the city of Valencia.
