Nick has spent 19 years in the games industry, combining careers in project management and film & television prior to the commencement of his own company in 2011. Having grown the business quickly to be a market leader in Australia, an acquisition by the world's largest esports company made Nick the head of ESL in APJ and now firmly focused on growth in Asia.
Luke Woolley, APAC Esports Lead, Business Development, Populous
Luke is the Esports Lead for Asia Pacific and drives business development efforts across South East Asia. He has a proven track record of leading successful strategic projects across the Asia Pacific region and has over ten years’ experience in production, design and project management. Luke is an experienced manager, ensuring the seamless development of designs from concept phase through to final delivery.
Having worked on various global sporting and entertainment events, Luke is highly skilled in delivering smooth pre-show and opening ceremony events including the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics, particularly the Opening Ceremony Land of Peace segment.
Luke possesses exceptional drafting skills across a variety of design software, utilising these skills to create optimal seating bowl, arena and theatre designs. He is extremely passionate about exploring new technologies, utilising different mixed reality applications and working closely with brands across Asia to create experiences for their consumers.
Chris Tran, Head of Esports, Southeast Asia, HK & Taiwan, Riot Games
Chris leads the Singapore-based team in the areas of business development, esports league operations, management of Riot’s relationship with Garena, League of Legends co-marketing, and more.
Chris is focused on developing Riot’s esports efforts in the region, which includes management of leagues that cover Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
Chris has over 20 years of experience in consulting and digital marketing, and has held leadership positions in the United Kingdom, United States, Switzerland, Canada, Thailand, and Vietnam. Before joining Riot, Chris helped lead the growth of the digital advertising ecosystem in Vietnam by pioneering advertising networks, DSPs and other leading-edge media platforms.
David Burke, Co-Founder & CEO, PhiTech IPB
PhiTech IPB is a blockchain technology company founded by David Burke and Zeno Goldsmith.
From the origins of their blockchain research centre, they created Phitech IPB which encompasses a blockchain exchange and payment system, an eSports platform with fully-integrated blockchain capability, an NFT platform, a digital asset management company and much more.
Among their many use cases is a smart city project in Northern Thailand, for which PhiTech IPB’s blockchain payment system was selected as the digital financial brain of the multi-billion dollar project.
