2025 Hobonichi Pen Test : Cousin, A6 Techo, Weeks Mega, A6 Five Year
Hey y’all!
I saw this morning A LOT of people are having no brush pen issues with their Hobonichi Cousin so I immediately grabbed all my 2025 planners and did pen tests.
In this video, I compare an assortment of pens in a variety of 2025 Hobonichi planners and the Common Planners since those use very similar paper.

To conclude, from what I understand this is an issue with certain batches of planners. I think my A6 Five Year is one of those and from what I can see applying less pressure or trying a different brush pen, like the Pentel Sign Brush, are going to be a few ways to lessen the bleed through. I honestly wish I had gotten a bad batch I could tell for certain so I could provide some better options.
