My VERY unfinished attempt at a Star Wars short film from 2023
In my advanced diploma of screen and media last year I got very very ambitious for a small class assignment and thought that I could create a 1 minute Star Wars space battle sequence in the space of like two weeks. Thinking I could do the editing, sound design, Blender animations, Rendering, compositing and everything else for this little assignment on top of all of my other assignments plus editing my groups major short film project. I guess I learnt a big lesson on taking on more that I can manage which I still sometimes mess up. So here is what I was able to achieve under the circumstances. Now that I have been studying a degree in VFX and Animation maybe I can come back to this footage with my new techniques because it is lovely footage that my friend Olivier shot for me in the studio on the Red Gemini and it would be a waste to not fully use it. I also had no idea how to create 3D models so used a lot of stock models (although very well made) which I found on the internet, but now I would love to try to model and texture them my self. Hope you enjoy what there is of the film so far! Most of the shots are just placeholders :P
