At the start of the mission, Frost is waiting for Raptor 2 to extract him together with the other members of the Metal Team and a hostage Volk. But as it approaches the extraction spot, an opposing missile attack causes a V-22 Osprey (probably Raptor 2) to spiral out of control. The Metal Team must avoid the debris left behind after the helicopter's collision with a big group of cars.They are to be escorted to another extraction area by an AC-130 bearing the call sign "Warhammer" because their initial landing zone is jeopardized. The crew of the AC-130 is authorized to use fatal force against any Russian air, tank, or infantry troops; but, their rules of engagement prohibit using deadly force against the buildings because they might still contain civilians. A big enemy force of tanks, helicopters, and infantry begins to move through a large roundabout when the gunship opens fire, killing numerous Russian soldiers and equipment. Odin 6, a trio of A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, launches a bombing run while the AC-130 is mopping up, destroying the last of the Russian armor in a breathtaking display.Before Metal Team can move up, the gunship sweeps the surrounding streets, clearing out more enemy forces in the vicinity. When the area is clear, Metal Team starts to advance down the street. However as they do, more hostiles appear and Warhammer eliminates them. As the Delta squad start to move closer to a junction, enemy infantry engage them from behind, and the gunship again takes them out.
