Precision as a State of Mind - Mark Firth
Over the space of two years Sheffield Museums documented the process of London-based artist, Mark Firth creating a series of works to be displayed during his inaugural show at Graves Gallery. The works are a series of cubes specifically commissioned for the exhibition in Sheffield.
Mark Firth is a British sculptor working mainly with steel and aluminium. His work is bound by a dedication to precision using machines more commonly associated with industrial practices. Every piece of work is created using hand-driven machinery.
The film title is taken from the Graves Gallery exhibition of the same name, which runs at the gallery from 3 Sep 2021 - 15 Jan 2022.
