Twenty-fourth album from New Wave Of British Heavy Metal legend Saxon titled "HELL, FIRE AND DAMNATION".
The novelty is the change of guitarist Paul Quinn who leaves his place to Diamond Head guitarist Brian Tatler.
Is this new album evil?
Well yes! Produced by Andy Sneap, this new album goes straight to the point, it's pure Saxon!
The title "1066" is reminiscent of Accept's "Teutonic terror".
"There's something in Roswell is a song whose structure somewhat resembles the famous "Dallas 1PM" on the album "Strong Arm of the Law".
“Pirates of the airwaves” is a tribute to the radio pirates of the 60s who broadcast illegally.
"Fire and steel" is faster and the ending of "Super charger" is reminiscent of Judas priest.
Biff is at the top of his form, like all musicians!
Brian Tatler definitely does the job, and even more because pieces come from his ideas!
Note that the cover signed Péter Sallai (Sabaton, WASP, Powerwolf) is superb!
This new album is definitely like all the others released in recent years: excellent!
Saxon is in better shape than ever and we don't have to wait any longer to see them because unfortunately they are no longer young....
