Harlaw sung by the Corries
In 1411, some 2,000 Lowland burgesses from Aberdeen repulsed around 10,000 Highland warriors in a bloody battle that became known as "Red Harlaw". John Knox reported over a century later that "Harlaw" was the favourite playground game of the boys in his grammar school at Haddington.
