The end is nigh! Not for the entire world, just for my 3-part video series traveling through and taking pictures in Spain for the #FramesFromAndalucia project.
This time I’m taking lots of medium format and large format photos of urban decay, the beautiful white-box town of Mojácar, and landscapes in the Tabernas Desert. Kodak Portra 160, Portra 400, Tri-X, and Ilford HP5+ all make an appearance in this episode, because I’m a man who can’t make up his mind and always overpacks. But that’s alright, at least I got some variety.
The Tabernas Desert is f’ing gorgeous, by the way. I didn’t know what to expect, but it was more rugged than I anticipated. And with that beautiful mid-winter light, mmhhmm…that’s my kind of photography.
This was a dream job for me and the kind of thing that only comes along once in a lifetime. But I’m certain it won’t be the only time I set foot in Spain. This country is gorgeous. The people are warm and welcoming. And the food…getouttahere. I think I found a new home away from home in Andalucía.
