DURGA PUJA CELEBRATION AT LAHORIJAN
Durga Puja, a revered 10-day festival in the Hindu calendar, is a celebration that transcends religious boundaries, uniting communities and honoring the triumph of good over evil. In the picturesque town of Lahorijan, located in the Karbianglong district of Assam, this vibrant festival was observed at four distinct venues: Yuva Sanstha Club, Lahorijan Kali Mandir, Lahorijan Kamakhya Mandir, and Lahorijan Durga Mandir. Devotees from various parts of Karbianglong and Dimapur flocked to these pandals (temporary shrines), eager to partake in the festivities and seek the blessings of the revered goddess Durga.
The Khatkhati police, under the watchful eye of Officer-in-Charge Shri Nitul Sakia, played a crucial role in ensuring the seamless flow of traffic and the safe entry of devotees into the pandals.
