Remember that good players use the lob as an aggressive shot, as you will either keep your opponents away from the net whilst opening new spaces for your next shot, or you will force them to lose the position and defending.
Practise, practise and practise, and open the face of the racket so you can create a good height on the ball as you get below the ball level, in order to push from low to high with your legs and not with your wrist.
