Yooka-Laylee is a tribute to 90's 3D platformers from the N64 era. There's dons of puns and easter-eggs refrencing other franchises and other games that inspired this modern take on classic platformers. The graphics are solid, complete with the occasionally awkward cameras abundant in 3D 64-bit games. The music is good, and the only sounds that were a little annoying is the "beep speech" from characters gets kind of old pretty fast. There's tons of challenges and min-games that allow you to choose your own path through the game playing the types of quests you like best, unlocking ne areas with new abilities and moves. YL and the sequel YL and the Impossible Lair sometimes go on sale in the eshop for $9.99 or less, and you absolutely must pick them up at that price.
