Vigilante Overlook
I love vigilante stories like Batman. Batman is such a classic story about the lone individual who fights for justice outside the system.
This is what I called a visual poem, or some would call it a video poem. It paints the picture of the vigilante who looks down on her city from high in its canopy of concrete, looking for where she is needed. There is no story. It is just a work of art by itself. I find this idea to be dramatic and the corresponding visuals to be beautiful. Perhaps this is because it represents a desire to fight for what is right in a world that does not care.
The animation is not very long. Also, it is my first attempt at a visual poem like this, so it may not be very polished. It seems a bit adolescent too, but it still represents an idea that I find connects with my emotions. Perhaps as my skill increases, I will be able to represent it better.
