The land of Central Asia still holds many secrets and mysteries, only occasionally bestowing upon us unique finds that tell of the former greatness of the people who inhabited these places many centuries ago.
Many know of the famous Urzhar princess, discovered in the Urzhar region of eastern Kazakhstan in the western foothills of Targabatai, precisely where the Altai mountain range meets Sary-Arka.
Archeology is based on concrete facts. And only after a meticulous and thorough study can we determine the identity of this undoubtedly noble and interesting woman from this burial mound, according to renowned scholar and PhD candidate Timur Smagulov.
