Syslog server | Cisco packet tracer
This is one of the many steps to ensure the network is secure. Logging in a central Syslog server helps us to maintain logs in an efficient way.
Steps are mentioned below:
1. Assign IP to the interfaces of both the routers.
2. Configure routing protocols like RIP, OSPF, or a static route.
3. Check the reachability of the Syslog server.
3. Add timestamps to the logs on routers.
4. Enable logging on the routers.
5. Start Syslog service on the server.
