Gula Halász. A Hungarian photographer (although he spent virtually his entire adult life in France) who became one of the great photographers of the 20th century in Paris.
He was born in 1899 and died in 1984. His grave can be found in the famous Montparnasse Cemetery. He worked as a journalist in Berlin, where he also studied Fine Arts. In the 1920s, he moved to Paris, where he met other cultural luminaries such as the writers Henry Miller and Prévet.
