David's first day of Muay Thai. Kenpo was great! "Sifu"was awesome, but I felt there were to many "techniques" to learn. Example, someone grabs you, do this, this, this then that. W Muay Thai, yes there are techniques as to how you stand, your hand positions, etc., but it's straight self defense / fighting. Plus the kids I seen there, wow they could fight. Don't get me wrong, was always about self defense for David, it still is. I wanted to do martial arts as a kid but never got that chance. I've always told David he needs to try to talk someone down from fighting first, then simply defending if someone comes at him physically if talking doesn't work. Last would be him actually fighting back. Even so I've told him if it comes to fighting back, if you knock someone down you step away. Never to continue to pummel someone once they're down. He loves it, after the first day he said "scratch out Kenpo!" For those of you who know David you know he likes martial arts, especially the movies Reel Steel and "Frank Dukes!"
