Old fashion Poly modeling. Under 10,000 Triangles. Covers how to colour code meshes with different colours by using shaders for adjustable transparency applied to specific meshes.
This mesh is pretty simple but in more complex scenes or meshes it is very hand to simplify the mesh if one is solid on the other is in wire and maybe even a third in xray when vert pulling. Sometimes a model will have litteraly exploded in a tangle and their is no other recent file version that is in a similar state of progress. If you have two mesh layers that are xray mode that are contrasting colours when they overlap it will turn a blend of the two colours. So in this way it is much easier to identify it apart from overlapping mesh from the same object.
Also, locking each individual mesh to keep the scene tight and easy to select the separate mesh verts & faces while working in wire x-ray mode.
Let me know in the comments if there is a tool already like this in blender!
Btw if you are new to my channel help yourself to my music playlist while working or watching my speed throughs. Video speed can be adjusted at the bottom right hand corner under the little gear icon in you youtube screen. Subtitles are available in this video.
Beginners Easiest way to follow along is turn speed to half way slower or less and turn on subs turn down the narration as it will be distorted. music can be in a separate browser in the background.
