UPDATE: Beginner Bucket Garden for Heirloom Tomatoes
In March I started some old saved heirloom tomato and pepper seeds indoors using float trays and a grow light. I made a simple DIY 5 gallon bucket garden this year to test a few varieties of heirloom tomatoes and peppers. I plan to use this method each year as my test bed to narrow down all the varieties I will plant each year in the raised beds. This variety of heirloom tomato makes the very best BLT sandwiches, Caprese salads and slices for cheeseburgers.
