Panthera - A Creature Study

The goal was to create a realistic panther(leopard) with a muscle simulation driving the deformations, which was made with the ZivaVFX plugin for Maya. We used Houdini for grooming and hair simulation and rendered everything in Maya with Arnold.
The concept, modeling, texturing and animation were made by Louisa Paulsen, I was responsible for the rigging, CFX(muscles & hair), surfacing, lighting and compositing part of this project.
We used the leopard skeleton model by Florian Croquet for the muscle simulation and the song 'Magnificent Heart' from Antoine Binette Mercier as background music.
