Brutal Lynx: Closing on the home and renovations
Hey gang, I am going to continue on this home buying series.
Using the information that I have already given in previous episodes we were able to close early on the house, got the seller to concede to half of the structural repair costs, locked in a 4% FIXED rate mortgage and got 4.5k back from the bank at closing.
I want to be sure to explain this series. This series is about being independently wealthy. This does NOT mean rich. With this step, we secured our finances. This way if one of us loses a job it does not break us. You need to have multiple streams of income. A job is no longer the secure, keep it for 30yrs type of deal. Loyalty to employees is no longer a thing. You need to have financial security. This series is about empowering my people (Black, Gay, Straight Allies, the working class) to be free of jobs they are not into. This series will go through doing home repairs and changes you can make to increase the value of the home you bought. So those are incoming as we go through the house and upgrading process.
