Science Behind Book Spinning :
There is a force countering gravity : ie. finger
As for why the book doesn't fall off, this owes to conservation of angular momentum. By spinning the book, you set up a preferred axis of rotation.
The book must stay on that axis of rotation to conserve angular momentum. Angular momentum is equal to the product of the mass, the radius, and the velocity at which it is spinning; high velocity (spinning fast) means high angular momentum.
In order for the book to fall off your finger, it would have to change its axis of spinning, which means changing its angular momentum, and by the conservation law, would require transferring that angular momentum to your finger or the air. When it has lots of angular momentum, it can't do that ( finger is too small and the air is too thin). So it must stay spinning.
Eventually, friction from your finger and the air will slow the book down sufficiently, which means a lower angular momentum enough that it will be able to fall off.
