For the first time since 9/11, I returned to Ground Zero — even though cameras aren’t allowed inside.
On September 11, 2001, I was a police officer and first responder at the World Trade Center. Almost 24 years later, I finally found the strength to step back inside the 9/11 Memorial & Museum with my son. Security says no cameras, but I filmed this journey anyway — because some experiences are too important not to share.
