Devil May Cry 3 Graphics Showcase [PCSX2]
This is more of a gameplay video than an in-depth graphics showcase, but I think it has a perfect blend of the two and achieves its goal. I hold huge appreciation for the DMC3 engine and I think it's well-deserved, given it's a 60 FPS game running without a hitch with the graphics quality shown here. This is very important considering the game's strong emphasis on stylish gameplay, so it has to be visually strong. The HD and PC versions are simply not. However, DMC3 has finally reached near perfect render accuracy on PCSX2, amounting to PS2 graphics with the benefit of higher resolutions (but not too high). Earlier versions had many imperfections that quite a few people are unaware of, like post-processing absence/misalignments, worse lighting, missing Depth of Field, motion blur and so forth. Not only that, but unfiltered textures are also here, so it looks a hundred times better than the washed out, artificially sharpened mess present in DMC HD Collection.
Here I showcase gameplay and scenery shots from various missions. Comparison videos between this and the so-called "HD Collection" will also be coming up somewhere in the future to a computer near you.
For proper enjoyment, I suggest enabling 4K 60 FPS (when it's done processing). The only reason I upload in this super quality format is due to YouTube's notorious compression.
