Kent State Head Coach Rob Senderoff shares key teaching points and the mentality behind how he builds an aggressive defense. In Defensive Identity Drills, coaches will learn how to improve multiple facets of their defense including help-side rotations and on-ball defense.

In addition to the half-court and full-court drills presented, Coach Senderoff also reveals the scoring and grading system for the four pillars of 'The Kent State Way' that the team uses in their practices.

Coaches can tailor the grading system to emphasize key aspects of their own program and will find ideas for additional areas they can add to their existing system.

Utilizing players to demonstrate on the court, Coach Senderoff moves his presentation to Daily Reminder Drills, and Identity Building Drills. Coach Senderoff demonstrates his Sink & Fill Drill, Ball Screen X-Out Drill, and the Consecutive Close Out Drill; all of which are executed for 90 seconds each and are a part of the Daily Reminder Drills.

The specific drills and tactics coaches will learn include:

How to force and attack spin dribbles by the offense
Teaching points to prevent uncontested shots at the basket
How to implement early and aggressive rotations to improve team defense
By emphasizing small-sided games and live play at the end of practice, Coach Senderoff enhances transfer of the defensive skills taught to actual game play. Players also get experience with time management and special situations with this type of teaching.

This video is a must for coaches who are looking to raise the impact of their defense and help contribute to player development at all levels.
