The lead has to be able to communicate the turn or movement he'd like the follow to do. The follow needs to be able to receive the information clearly, perform the movement, and as a bonus... add some styling on the fly. The "this or that" drill helps with all of the above by taking 2 turns lead from the same position and leaves it up to the lead which to ask the follow to do... withOUT allowing her to know ahead of time as is often the case in classes or practicing 1 turn at a time at home. In this example, we pair enchufa and vacila.
