For years, this small town in the Eastern Plains of Colorado has been serviced by a Leach Sanicruiser for residential work and this Loadmaster LM125 for the dumpsters. We all enjoyed Alex's video of the residential truck and this same driver, which can be seen here: • International Leach Sanicruiser Garbage Truck
But now it's time we see Ol' Red (maybe from RDK?) tackle commercial trash. I was excited by the chance to witness a Loadmaster for the first time since seeing the LM400s in New York. As expected, Loadmaster's nearly unchanged design is still earning its keep. Being a 1995, this would be one of the last LM100s made before that model was discontinued, replaced by the smooth-shell Legacy and Excel models. Along with their rear loaders and a kick-ass automated side loader, the familiar "400" is still made: https://loadmaster.org/400-2/
The classic whine of the pump, speed of the packer, and massive overall size of the truck made this morning a blast. Many thanks to the friendly driver for tolerating the uncommon adult fascination with garbage trucks and how they work.
