The intro for this is so 🥵🤤🤪
You know that a tower has fell off when it goes from being considered literally impossible to a fucking controller player beating it without that much struggle lol. Still probably the most iconic jtoh tower of all time which is a cool completion to have ig. Also it's pretty crazy how I've done this as my first cata and a jump from ToFN. But honestly this win didn't really feel like a first cata or anything anywhere near as significant as it should've, it just felt like an average SC win for some reason. It should be impressive asf considering that it's the 2nd ever catastrophic controller victory and the 4th fully recorded STONE victor(3rd if you disregard randy's speed boost win but idk much about that), but I don't really feel that at all. The catastrophic boundary was this big thing for me that I couldn't surpass beforehand, I literally got to F8 ToGF and F9 outside ToER and still couldn't manage to complete any of them. But once I beat this it just felt anticlimactic.
Surprisingly, this was actually a very fun grind for the most part. At the start when I could barely get to f3 this was like my least favourite grind, but the early floors are really simple to understand and get consistent very quickly which makes this enjoyable to grind until f6 ofc. One thing that made me beat this pretty quickly without TOO many f6 fails is me literally going into one of those 2020 long jump and thin stud practice places and spamming them for like 30 minutes straight before trying any legit runs on this, which helps a shit ton and I can see it helping for many other towers with consistency on basic jumps. I can see how this is probably unenjoyable asf for others to grind but the way that I approached it made it so much quicker and better since past the learning stage of the grind the only thing I properly practiced was f9, which probably explains the amount of dumb fails I had on floors 7 and 8 but it helped me get much more consistent at f9 than most others so it's a win for me tbh.

In terms of the legitimacy of this win, it's a pretty weird one. First of all, this wasn't beaten in the "official" STONE place where everyone else beat it bc that place isn't available on xbox, so I had to make my own(I will link it further down so that you can check it out ig).The STONE model that I used isn't even 100% accurate as I found out after the win which is annoying. But the only inaccuracies are some small things which mainly reside on floors 2-4 and a few very small things on 6 which don't affect the overall difficulty of the tower since some differences make it easier but some make it harder which means they cancel out. Also the biggest topic regarding the legitimacy us my use of the healing item throughout the run. This was mainly so that F4 didn't take me 10 minutes at least every time I got there, but I made sure to only use the healing item in places that I'd normally wait to hear in to purely save time, and I was pretty strict about this since I literally lost runs to kbs because I didn't wanna unfairly save a run with the healing item. But if you want to call this "unlegit smh" because I have better things to do than wait for 10 minutes on some filler floor then so be it. But besides that, this win is a standard win with minor skips(which I made sure to not skip anything that adds to the tower's overall difficulty) and 60fps.
Also, this doesn't really link to the legitimacy, but I just wanted to say that this was a pretty damn lucky run. Especially on that one really annoying low-roof jump thing on f6 which is usually nearly impossible for me bc of how controller camera movement works, but I got an extremely lucky lag spike in the perfect moment which gave me more height and made me land it first try when it usually takes me like 20-30 tries in a real run which is crazy since even pc players struggle with that. Also I somehow got like my smoothest ever 1-3 run on this in the completion which is lucky asf too since shit like the thin studs on 1 always take me a good minute or 2 which gets annoying.
