The model features a BLDC motor that is powered by a current control scheme and used to drive the electric vehicle model built in MATLAB Simulink. To simulate the behavior of a typical driver, a driver longitudinal model is included to control the outer speed loop. Additionally, a drive cycle pattern is provided to set the reference speed for the vehicle.
