I give up! Removed some Fruit Trees from My Aussie Backyard Orchard.
In this video, I share the tough decision to remove fruit trees from my orchard due to a Queensland fruit fly infestation. Queensland fruit fly is a serious pest that can devastate fruit trees, leading to significant crop loss.
I’ll identify Queensland fruit fly, the damage they cause to fruit, and why removing affected fruit trees was necessary to protect my entire harvest.
You'll also see how I dug up the fruit trees and briefly explain the transplanting process.
My Australian backyard orchard brings me joy and hopefully I can manage the pest problem easier now.
One of the trees was meant to be here temporarily, but stayed 5 years and will thankfully go to an Australian backyard that does not have a fruit fly problem.
