A-side of E Bello's eponymous 12" single, E Bello (1988), released in Germany by MMT Records. Some obscure early German New Beat for you, replete with perfectly amateurish magic marker cover art. This track does make ample use of the requisite out-of-context vocal/spoken word samples — albeit not from news programs! — but unlike 98% of later New Beat, it avoids the tropes of extreme vulgarity and vaguely "Middle Eastern" themes. New Beat is wild to me, because how can a genre that only managed to last a couple of years become so wildly self-parodying?
