Is it obvious that to produce residual income that we need to focus on income producing activities? You would have thought so, but my experience tells me differently.
When I write my weekly list of things to do, there seem to be 50 things that I 'need to do' from trainings to learning how to do things as well as emails to answer. So many things to do.
So let me ask you is what you're doing right now making you money?
Do you know what activities make you money?
With a home based business there are just 6 income producing activities.
Prospecting for new customers,
Prospecting for New Customers this might be on a social network, like Facebook. Or writing a blog, or Vlog, or podcast.
Building Relationships,
Building Relationships is absolutely key this can be done face to face at a networking event, or on a group online. The purpose is not to sell anything, just build the relationship, see here they are and what their concerns re. Don't pitch someone you've just met with your opportunity .
3. Follow Up
The quality of your Follow up with the people you've met either online or off with a call to make the connection real and to build on the relationship will determine your success
Training.
Training your team to duplicate what you do, is one of the very best income producing activities. This can be at an event to make even better use of your time.
Track Your Progress
Tracking Your Progress. If you don't know what your stats are you won't know how you're doing or how long it will take you to get there. And by tracking yourself and your team your ill know where improvements are needed to get better results.
Improve.
Improving is number 6 because having learnt a skill I's fun to improve, this helps to establish you as a leader ad makes faster progress possible, but the first 4 are the main income producing activities.
Do the income producing activities first, then do your e-mails and answer calls. If the emails and calls are from a prospect that falls into building relationships. Learning falls into number 6 improving and is to be done after the income producing activities.
