A young couple arrives in a village lost somewhere in the woods, as the girl now owns a house there, inherited from her aunt. Strange things begin to happen even on the road—the young couple feels like they're driving in circles, and soon the car stalls. In the village itself, they discover that an old man has squatted in the house, and an old friend of the aunt's insistently invites the couple to stay with her.
