Helmed by the dexterous Ric Roman Waugh, the race against-time action thriller, "Kandahar" is set to release on the 26th of May. The film features the illustrious Gerard Butler as Tom Harris, an undercover CIA operative trapped in the treacherous depths of Afghanistan. A devastating intelligence leak thrusts Harris into a desperate battle, alongside his Afghan translator, played by the Iranian-American actor, Navid Negahban, to reach the extraction point in Kandahar. Their perilous quest spans 400 miles, with a mere 30 hours to outrun a relentless elite special forces unit, determined to capture or eliminate them. Adding further intrigue to the cast is, Ali Fazal, who starred in Hollywood films such as "Victoria & Abdul" and "Death on the Nile." While details regarding Fazal's character remain undisclosed, speculation suggests he would play an Afghan special forces assassin.
