In this tenth episode of our series, we delve into the Soure mayoral race, where two candidates stand out in the contest.
🗳️ Candidates in Focus:
Professor Nic Júnior (PT): In his third attempt to win the mayoralty, Nic is known for his two terms as a city councilor and for his work as a primary school teacher. With a strong presence on social media, he seeks to mobilize voters with his experience and community engagement.
Paulo Vitor Lima (MDB): With the support of the current mayor Guto Gouveia and the MDB leadership, Paulo Vitor advocates for the continuity of the current administration. A key point is that he is not originally from Soure, which has generated discussions among his supporters. To counterbalance this perception, Nic Júnior's coalition adopts the name "100 Soure," emphasizing its belonging to the Marajó region.
⚠️ Fagundes Gomes's (Rede Federation) situation: Although registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court), we found no campaign activity from the candidate, indicating a possible withdrawal from the race. Recently, the Rede party released a statement criticizing PSOL, suggesting internal tensions that reinforce this theory.
