FIRST DRIVE: Fiat Grande Panda
Fiat is preparing to launch the Grande Panda, the pioneer of its all-new model series, on the world's roads. This car, which has taken its place among the brand's global models, will also hit Turkish roads starting this summer. Designed at the FIAT Centro Stile (FIAT Design Center) in Turin and inspired by the iconic Panda of the 1980s, the "Grande Panda" stands out with its innovative solutions, playful personality, and environmentally friendly character.

With its front design inspired by the architecture of Fiat's historic Lingotto production facility in Turin, PXL LED headlights, and a 4.5-meter integrated charging cable, the Grande Panda features numerous design elements that harken back to FIAT's roots. Unusual details, such as the three-dimensional, slightly embossed "PANDA" lettering on the doors and the embossed "FIAT" lettering on the trunk lid, are among the design elements that confirm the brand's roots. The lenticular print running through the modern FIAT logo and FIAT stripes on the C-pillar also creates a striking effect. The lettering is also displayed within a gloss black frame displaying the Panda's three-dimensional letters at the rear, alongside the FIAT logo at the front.
The Grande Panda, described as offering the best shoulder width in its segment, boasts a spacious cabin for its size and a 361-liter trunk in the electric version. Offering ample storage space with a total volume of 13 liters, the car also boasts a multicolored and environmentally friendly cabin. The main interior theme includes a special color tone called Blu Tasmania, which perfectly complements the car's vibrant character. The cabin, made from materials derived from the recycling of plastic and aluminum from 140 beverage cartons for each Grande Panda, also features BAMBOX, an environmentally friendly material made from real bamboo fibers.
The car's infotainment panel and side console surface, known as the TUNNEL PAD, are also distinguished by their design. The panel, which includes a 10-inch digital display and a 10.25-inch infotainment unit, is designed in the shape of the historic and private test track located atop the Lingotto building.
The Grande Panda, the first FIAT model built on Stellantis' Smart Car Platform, is available with electric and hybrid powertrain options. Equipped with a 44 kWh battery and an 83 kW e-motor (113 hp), the electric Grande Panda's range of 320 km on the WLTP combined cycle is suitable for daily use and weekend getaways.
The hybrid version of the car is equipped with a 100 horsepower 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbo engine, a 48V Li-ion battery, a 21 kW e-motor, a 6-speed electric dual-clutch transmission (eDCT) incorporating an inverter and a central transmission unit. The additional electric power increases flexibility at low revs and during acceleration, providing smooth and quiet starting and precise shifting. The mild hybrid system also provides up to 1 km of electric range during smooth urban or extra-urban driving at speeds below 30 km/h.
The Fiat Grande Panda is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Basic options include Parking Assist with rear sensors (front sensors and a rearview camera are standard on the La Prima), as well as driver assistance features such as Cruise Control, Speed Limiter, Active Safety Brake, and Lane Keeping Assist.
