Joninės or the Summer Solstice Celebration in Lithuania

In this video, we attended the summer solstice celebration, which in Lithuania is called Jonines, or the Dew Festival. Festivities typically take place near bodies of water, not only in the countryside but also in the city (parks and lakes).
We visited Kernavė, the ancient capital of Lithuania. This place is incredibly beautiful and filled with a special energy. The celebration included traditional costumes, wreaths of leaves and flowers, and competitions.

A captivating bonfire lighting ceremony—there were two bonfires: a large one and a small one. First, the small bonfire is lit, and then its flame is carried to the larger one, fueling it. The program also included floating wreaths down the river and jumping over a bonfire (but we didn't get to see that part).
