Oak lowboard with drawers - a HUGE disappointment
An elegant lowboard in solid oak with two large drawers. It's actually really beautiful – so why am I disappointed?
This was supposed to be a really nice collaborative project. Together with Katharina from Bandida Rustica, I built a very minimalist lowboard out of oak. The base consists of a steel frame that we welded together from 20 x 20 mm profiles. The body and fronts are made of solid oak, and of course, the grain runs through the front panels. Thanks to the recessed handles, the drawers themselves don't need handles. The drawers are also equipped with soft-close mechanisms.
