Personally, I enjoy the original tools for Roblox Gear. Catalog Heaven is a fun game, and Roblox don't even need to remove the existing models for gear to be used in this long-term friendly way. The entire gear catalog takes up zero storage to them, according to employees and common sense.
However, because I don't have a say over what they do, and even if they go with this solution they could choose to still remove the default gear models, I think there's merit to making a free model library that stores all of the classic gear tools and maps them to their IDs. This way, any games can use a public resource to function like old gear places do, even if Roblox remove the officially stored models for classic tools. I think it's a safe move to make, just in case of that scenario. For a space to work on this: / discord .
