Exasperation 25% (Unnerfed, Old WR)
done on vanilla 2.2 physics, no physics bypass/cbf

so like 2 days ago I looked into exasperation a bit and decided to try it out because the old WR seemed surprisingly feasible to beat due to people not really playing it that much. I decided to grind it as a small filler video and set 23% as my goal, since the ship at 23% is the hardest part in the first half. I had literally never done that whole ship in my life and I somehow, SOMEHOW, just whipped it out at the end of that run, making this probably my biggest difficulty fluke ever.
as for the difficulty of the level/this run, I don't think exasperation will be beaten for a very long time, if at all. The first half is the easier half of the level by a lot, with 50-75 being the hardest part in the level. I think theres a chance that maybe someday somebody could beat it but it's definitely not me and it definitely won't be soon. as for this run specifically, its hard for me to say how hard it is because of the fluke, but I can confidently say 0-23% on exasperation is actually around the same difficulty as 0-23% on banshee, which feels kinda nuts to realize. obviously this doesn't mean banshee is harder than exasperation since the second half of exasperation is so much harder, but its still kinda insane to realize just how hard the banshee predrop is
I'm probably not gonna go for any new records on this since I already got a way better run than I was going for, but maybe someday in the future I'll come back and try to get 50, I think with enough grinding thats totally possible. as for now I'm going to fully lock in on banshee. I really want to keep everyone up to date in a better way than randomly talking about it in filler upload descriptions, so I might look into progress report videos or community tab posts or something similar. hopefully that'll make it seem less like I'm just disappearing for several months while I play it
