Hailed by The New York Times for her "inexhaustible virtuosity", clarinetist Yoonah Kim is a winner of the 2016 Concert Artists Guild International Competition – the first solo clarinetist to win CAG in nearly 30 years. Her recent chamber music appearances include performances of Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time with Stefan Jackiw, Jay Campbell, and Orion Weiss at Princeton University and the Crypt in New York and with the Junction Trio at Rockefeller University. Yoonah made her New York recital debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall in 2018, and has given recitals for Chicago’s Dame Myra Hess series and DC’s Washington Performing Arts series, among others. From 2016-2018, Yoonah was a member of Ensemble Connect, a selective fellowship program under the auspices of Carnegie Hall, the Weill Institute, and The Juilliard School, where she served as an education ambassador for New York City schools. Yoonah tours with the ensembles Founders and Frisson and has appeared at chamber music festivals including Marlboro, Mainly Mozart, Bravo! Vail, Sarasota, and Banff. Born in Seoul and raised in British Columbia, Yoonah is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at The Juilliard School as the C.V. Starr Doctoral Fellow.
Elena Ariza is a highly sought-after cellist, currently pursuing the prestigious Artist Diploma in cello performance at The Juilliard School. She previously attended Columbia University, majoring in computer science, as part of its exchange program with Juilliard. Most recently, Elena won 1st prize at the 2022 Gustav Mahler Prize Cello Competition and was a finalist in both the 2021 and 2019 Juilliard Concerto Competition. She participated in the Taos School of Music during the summer of 2021, and subsequently toured through Utah and Nevada, performing concerts for the Haitian earthquake with her long-time collaborator, pianist Misha Galant. At Juilliard, Elena is currently studying under the tutelage of Astrid Schween and Joel Krosnick. Her former teachers and mentors include Richard Aaron, Ronald Leonard, and Sieun Lin.
Pianist Jinhee Park has built an international reputation as a versatile artist of both vocal and instrumental chamber musician as she has given extensive performances in North America, Europe, and Asia. During the summer months, she serves as a vocal coach at Chautauqua Institution. Currently, she is pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree as a C.V. Starr Doctoral Fellow at The Juilliard School.
